Birth of Chiasson’s Chef Service. I began leasing myself as an executive chef to many country clubs, hotels, and restaurants in Georgia, North Carolina, and Florida. I was fluent in Cajun, French, and Italian cuisine with skills in management, culinary design, and food safety. Worked in 97 different locations over a three-year period. Catered Andre Agassi’s 8th tournament win in Orlando, Florida.
Began Chiasson’s Catering, catered our first event June 6, 1988, a surprise 40th birthday, catered the 70th also.
Married to my wife and partner Denise met this beauty on a racket ball court in 1989. This began what was known as the catering dream team.
Crisscrossing America with corporate clients to premier PGA events, The Masters & US Open. This changed the dynamic of the company thru event planning and execution of high-end entertainment.
Celebrated our 20th year in business and changed our name from Chiasson’s to Chef Kern’s for branding.
Chef Kern’s Fine Foods store opens to the public on March 21, selling our frozen entree specials, dressings, salads, our famous Roasted Pecan Pralines, and the legendary Flaky Chicken Tenders.
Chef Kern’s Catering establishes itself as the go-to 500+ guest catering company. Opportunities included corporate events, fundraisers, and weddings throughout Georgia and the Southeast, a reflection of our food quality, service, and attention to detail.
Military pursuit begins, a great platform for our clean, healthy, and high protein products. The US Army is focused on our small company and the quality we produce.
Our company’s 18th consecutive year to provide hospitality programs at the grandest PGA event of all, THE MASTERS golf tournament in Augusta, Georgia.
August 11, closed Chef Kern’s Fine Foods and transformed our facility into a HACCP certified, USDA, and FDA-approved manufacturing facility.
